Addie

A shelter asked us to help this precious puppy after an officer found her in the field. She was estimated to be 13 weeks old but was only six pounds! She was extremely weak, dehydrated, and wobbly. She ate when given wet food so we were optimistic that we could save her.

We named her Addie and rushed her to our vet, but her temperature was so low it didn't even register. She fought hard to survive and initially responded well to a transfusion but later crashed.

We had to make the difficult but compassionate decision to let her go. 

We find comfort that Addie didn't die alone on the streets. Our sweet girl experienced unconditional love, compassion, and kindness, but her poor little body couldn’t go any longer.
