Daisy & Clyde

Our beloved Daisy and Clyde crossed the rainbow bridge together.

Though they came to us under different circumstances, they both needed hospice care. Daisy struggled with mobility and pain, and Clyde suffered from doggie dementia.

They both stayed with our in-home boarding partners, Misty and Grammy, where they quickly became the resident “old married couple.” The antics of the younger pups made them grumble, and we are certain we saw the head shake that only the aged have the honor of doing.

They kept each other company, and Daisy became Clyde’s helper when he got a little confused. We saw that Daisy’s body was failing. She was tired, and she was ready to rest. After discussing what life would look like for her best friend, we made the heart-wrenching decision to let Clyde go with her.

They enjoyed an extra special dinner, spent the morning being doted upon, and crossed over the bridge side by side.

While our hearts are broken we know this was the right call for our special seniors. A loving thought to Grammy and Misty: we know your home is doubly empty, but you now have 2 more angels looking over you.

Run free Daisy and Clyde...until we meet again ❤️
