#ProjectComet – Now Known as Ellie

Ellie, originally known as #ProjectComet, was adopted in 2022. A few years later, she’s living a life full of love, community, and giant-sized charm. We’re thrilled to share her update!

Pup-Dates from Her Family

“Ellie (aka Comet) is doing so well, and knowing her is such a joy. She loves nothing more than going for walks around the neighborhood, rolling in something stinky (shoutout to the Pet Supplies Plus bath punch card!), and cooling off with a doggie ice cream. She is my fierce protector, guarding the backyard from ‘threats’ like the Amazon delivery driver—who, to be fair, does bring her toothbrush treats.

She is incredibly loyal, always curled up a few feet away taking an afternoon nap or keeping watch by the window. Unlike most dogs I’ve known, she isn’t quick to trust and prefers to keep a cautious side eye on you at first. But once she offers you a paw, you’ve earned her love and protection for life.

Backstory

Originally one of nine pups in the Reindeer Litter, Ellie was born to Buddy and Jovie – two dogs rescued after being found near Fort Worth, TX tied to railroad tracks. Once known as #ProjectComet, she’s now thriving with her forever family and proving just how deserving rescue dogs are.
